Reichenbach Fall Theory
I can only assume that my theory on Sherlock’s fall has been suggested before, but I haven’t seen it anywhere, so here goes.
Sherlock landed in the laundry truck and used the handball that he had been playing with, placed under his armpit, to slow / interrupt his pulse. He used the time that John was delayed to jump out of the truck and cover himself in the blood.
breaded pork chops with ancho chili sauce
mashed yukon gold potatoes with parsley
carrot craisin salad
absolutely dreadful picture but absolutely delicious dinner. very old school but very good. meatball stroganoff, egg noodles, lemon pepper green beans, fresh apples and biscuits. chilly day, warm dinner - a little heavy on the starch but it hit the spot. this week is up for grabs - I’ve got a pork roast, some beef for kebabs, some sausage for something but don’t know what yet. need to keep it simple - i guess we’ll see
last week I tried some new recipes - I made a sausage and shrimp skewer with pepper and onions with a mustard and honey glaze. It was good - not great then I made this coconut pumpkin chicken curry with basmati rice - also good, not great. I am trying to think what else we had last week. sunday we went out for dinner for my son’s birthday, monday we had the skewers, tuesday - I’m drawing a blank, wednesday was the curry and thursday we got take out chinese. at least we ate together.
I did cook last night, but did not take pictures. Last night was grilled chicken (are you noticing a theme here?) rice blend, caesar salad, sourdough bread. Tonight, I was really hungry and obviously craving “fall”ish food. So it was roast pork loin (these things have saved me more times than I care to count) with gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce and corn. I buy the whole loins and cut them into 3 or 4 pieces and use them for everything; kebabs, roasts, crockpot, chops, bbq, sandwiches - they are the best product and very low cost. I would encourage anyone who hasn’t try to them to pick one up.
Trying to use the new grill as much as possible. Burgers, fries, apples & salad. sometimes simple is best. Ate dinner with mil last night so no pictures of that.
Tuesday dinner. Steak fajitas with corn casserole. Marinated steak with limes, cumin, garlic and olive oil. Served with peppers and onions, fresh salsa and sour cream. Corn casserole, so easy. Can of corn, creamed corn and box of jiffy cornbread mix. On to Wednesday!
Wednesday dinner 9-19-12. Grilled sausage with German potato salad and zucchini cakes. A little starchy perhaps, but it was a rainy, dreary early fall day. The german potato salad recipe was really good. i got it from allrecipes.com. Was made with minced onion, flour, sugar, vinegar and celery seed. the zucchini cakes were yummy. My husband (who hates squash of any sort) ate them before he even realized what they were and could not deny that he liked it. I consider that a win. So that makes 4 family dinners in a row (didn’t post Sunday - it was pasta). tonight I have to work, but there is homemade chili and the ingredients for either grilled cheese or quesadillas. they will not starve.
Tuesday dinner - steak fajitas with peppers, onions, fresh salsa and sour cream, served with corn casserole. marinated the steak with limes, cumin, olive oil and garlic and then grilled (in the rain) corn casserole is so easy and so fattening and so delicious; jiffy corn bread mix, a can of creamed corn, a can of whole corn and a stick of butter - yikes!! as you can see, darling daughter started serving before I had snapped the picture. I really need to learn how to photograph food.
